FIT VOLT panels have passed hailstone tests, meeting European requirements not only for the SIA 261- HW4 class standard, but also for the IEC 61215-2 standard.
What does this mean in practice?
For a product to meet the requirements of the IEC 61215-2 standard, it should pass a hailstone impact test unscathed, with hailstones moving at a speed of at least 30.7 m/s, with a diameter of 45 mm and a mass of 42.9 g. The SOLROOF system’s FIT VOLT panels successfully maintain durability even at speeds of 41 m/s!
And all this is thanks to the integration of tempered glass with steel, which is a very durable and easy-to-maintain material, making the product’s resistance to hail very high!
