A house with a simple shape featuring a characteristic gable roof and a dormer window is an example of how minimalist architecture can maintain its unique character thanks to the SOLROOF system and enjoy the benefits of photovoltaics.

The roof combines FIT VOLT photovoltaic panels with FIT complementary steel panels. The same material was also used on part of the facade – in deep black, contrasting with the white wall sections. This gives the building a coherent, austere character.

The minimalist look allows for better showcasing of the building’s structure, without fear of overwhelming it with massive, unattractive panels. The SOLROOF doesn’t stand out from standard roofing, as it’s based on traditional standing seam steel roof panels. As a result, the SOLROOF fits well with both modern and traditional architecture, and can be considered by heritage conservators.
