A house with a simple form featuring a characteristic gable roof and dormer window demonstrates how minimalist architecture can maintain its unique character thanks to the SOLROOF system while enjoying the benefits of photovoltaics.

The roof combines FIT VOLT photovoltaic panels with FIT complementary steel panels. The same material was also used on parts of the facade – in deep black, contrasting with white wall sections. This gives the building a coherent, raw character.

The minimalist appearance allows for better showcasing of the building’s form, without fear of overwhelming it with massive, unaesthetic panels. The SOLROOF doesn’t stand out from standard roofing as it was developed based on traditional standing seam steel roof panels. As a result, the SOLROOF system suits both modern and traditional architecture and can be considered by heritage conservation officers.

Thanks to the SOLROOF system, even buildings with simple architecture can maintain their character without massive photovoltaic panels impacting their aesthetics.
